Certification Manager
 
CLIENT ASSOCIATION: Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation, CAOHC
POSITION(S) REPORTS TO: CAOHC Executive Director
POSITION(S) THAT REPORT TO YOU: N/A
EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt (Minimum 37.5 hours/week)

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Manage projects that relate to the OHC certification process including, but not limited to assisting candidates seeking certification, organizing conference calls and meetings for the OHC/CD Committee and Exam Committee, and assisting course directors with setting up their courses and administering exams. Manage the Forj Learning Management System and outside vendors. Supporting CAOHC and Executive Director to help fulfill the goals and mission of the CAOHC.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week):
  • Handle all OHC related phone and email inquiries and requests from students and course directors;
  • Manage the OHC Course Approval and Certification Exams processes;
  • Manage OHC credentials and extensions in iMIS;
  • Coordinate logistics for OHC/CD Committee and Exam Committee conference calls, including agenda/materials, and taking and distributing minutes;
  • Manage projects related to the Forj (formerly Web Courseworks) Learning Management System with Support Services and outside vendors;
  • Attend board meetings;
  • Handle invoices and payments for everything related to OHC certifications and additional payments as needed;
  • Manage instruction and communication related to the OHC certification courses;
  • Assist Course Directors with inquiries related to instruction, certification, and exam administration, and escalate as needed;
  • Escalate all violations to the Executive Director and Council for review.
  • Monitor overall exam performance, certification counts, and course counts for reporting purposes;
  • Work with the Council and Subject Matter Experts to create online courses and exams;
  • Send invoices and process check deposits for OHC courses;
  • Work with the CAOHC committees on various projects/initiatives;
  • Provide backup for the Executive Director when needed;
  • Attend committee meetings and conferences as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED:
Approximately 7 days per year.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in related field. Computer proficiency, basic understanding of Learning Management or Content Management systems. Outstanding organizational and communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting 20 – 30 lbs. may occasionally be required
 
*This position is located in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.
