The Zoological Society of Milwaukee (the Society) is searching for a seasonal Actor-Educator to join a very fun environment and talented team of professionals in supporting one of the most cherished community assets, the Milwaukee County Zoo. This position takes on a holistic view of theater and educational programming offerings within the Zoological Society of Milwaukee's (ZSM) Conservation Education department and its theater program-Kohl's Wild Theater (KWT). The KWT Summer Actor-Educator will serve as the primary performer for At-Habitat character interactions and as an understudy/swing for the KWT mainstage season. The role works closely with the Arts Education Program Manager and Company Supervisor in support of the ZSM's Mission to educate people about the importance of wildlife and animals and support the Milwaukee County Zoo (MCZ), and the Conservation Education department's vision to inspire and empower all members of our community to take conservation action.
This is a part-time seasonal position normally expected to work up to 25 hours/week; Tuesday-Sunday, 10:30am-2:30pm, beginning May 25th through September 2nd (including Memorial Day and Labor Day).
