Overview

The Manager, Business Intelligence - United, leads forecasting, inventory management and allocations, compiles reports, interprets data, and provides recommendations on areas of opportunities for a diversified, complex, and high-profile sales division to key decision makers.
The position also supports the head of the United division in analysis and business planning activities, sales measures and performance, and growth opportunities. This position will actively participate in planning meetings with key leaders as a subject matter sales data and analytical expert.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

-Designs and produce ad-hoc and user created reports incorporating multiple systems on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis and support requests for ad-hoc analysis for division and various sales leaders.
Produces sales materials for division including monthly deal highlights, pricing reference books, business
plans, sales performance management goals and reporting and all other sales related materials.

-Produces business plans and various communication to division associates. Administers sales monthly
incentive plans and is key point person for all related questions.

-Completes complex data analysis projects, forecasting, inventory management and allocations to support a variety of initiatives using advanced suite of data analysis tools such as PowerBI, Tabs analytics, SAP HANA, Blue Ridge among others, presenting findings in clear, actionable format.
-Researches and anticipates analytical needs of division including competitor analysis, strategy support, and GAP analysis utilizing all sources of data including syndicated data.

-Understands and communicates market trends and drivers, supporting in generating new ideas and opportunities to grow business.
-Communicate changes in business trends to leadership and provide guidance as to the overall impact.
-Defines customer needs and values of meeting those needs versus competition. Understanding of
customer segmentation, forecasting, and optimization and how they relate to our sales execution model,
segmenting customers and focusing on target segments.

-Develops, arranges, and optimizes key reports and business forecasts that support and inform existing and future business initiatives. Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations, and influence the
direction of the business by effectively communicating results to leaders.
-Prepares written analysis and presents findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
-Utilizes all research to develop general market knowledge in order to own forecasting process via Blue Ridge.
-Manages monthly exception process
-Communicates methodology and forecast changes to the United Trade Development Director and United
Division Vice President.
-Participates in all supplier forecast recap calls, taking an active role in communicating forecasting approach.
-Utilizes forecast to advise on inventory purchase recommendations with Trade Development Director and
Purchasing Director.
* Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder's supervisor, may also be required.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance, marketing, or business analyst role
* Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
* Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
* Analytic and Reporting skills
* Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas, pivot tables, graphic match functions)
* Strong proficiency with PowerPoint
* Experience with a consumer-packaged goods company or data provider (IRI, Nielsen)
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
Competencies:
* May help coordinate the work of junior members of the team.

Resolves issues which are often varied and non-routine. Undertakes analysis and investigation to solve issues.
