Here's your opportunity:

The Senior Technical writer is responsible for creating and maintaining high quality, clear, concise and effective documentation including product technical data sheets, operations & service guides, installation manuals and other documents for commercial handwashing and industrial safety products. Work closely with cross functional teams including engineers and product managers, to understand our products and make them easier to use. Transform complex technical information into user-friendly manuals, guides and instructions.

Here's how you'll contribute:

  • Work with project team members to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and documentation requirements
  • Develop, review and organize high volume of technical documents for electronic and print publication, following graphic standards and style guides
  • Lead a cross functional team of product managers and engineers to identify the technical information critical to the end user Organize and drive timely reviews and updates with all subject matter experts and stakeholders
  • Identify photographs, drawings, diagrams, and/or charts needed to clearly illustrate operation or installation procedures; develop and manage SOP for technical asset management
  • Ensure proper and consistent use of industry standard product installation and usage warnings
  • Observe processes and interview end users to test effectiveness of documentation
  • Conduct research necessary to produce accurate, comprehensive and best of class documents
  • Manage budget and vendor relationships
  • Design effective easy to understand product labels
  • Create product illustrations or modify engineering drawings to suit documentation
  • Maintain archive of all documents and revisions including foreign language translations

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Bachelor of Science in Technical Communications or Bachelor of Arts in English or Mass Communication with emphasis in technical writing, and 5-7 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High Proficiency in Adobe's Creative Suite - Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Technical Communication standards, practices and style, advanced writing skills with strong grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Engineering, manufacturing or building products experience preferred.
