What We Do

Focused on the acquisition and processing of new source data and serve as the support between data sourcing and production. Data Acquisition Analysts are responsible for the daily communication with counties, vendors, offshore partners, and/or clients as it relates to the ongoing acquisition of data. As the primary handler of data procurement and acquisition assets, this team serves as the support for data production, operations, and various business units both onshore and offshore.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

  • Creates, develops, and manages relationships with offshore partners, counties, vendors, and other data sources to identify opportunities and provide support to all functions of the media acquisition team. Leads effort to maintain vendor source management, including resolving quality or delivery issues.
  • Identify, locate, and acquire new sources of data. Investigates the availability of data and determines which data elements are available.
  • Provides insight to maximize product value within budgetary constraints.
  • Analyzes current data and determines areas in which data can be effectively leveraged via changes in processes/ procedures or supplier relationships.
  • Assists in negotiating terms of data acquisition contracts/ agreements. Commits funds for payment.
  • Responsible for the successful integration of different data sources to support goals and objectives.
  • May manage a team with responsibility for operational and/or project outcomes.
  • Regularly leads and manages a wide range of projects and functions with cross functional dependencies.
  • Manages reporting and documentation processes, adjusting plans and schedules as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience; BS Business or Computer Sciences preferred.
  • 5-7 years of directly related experience.
  • 3-5 years demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role

Knowledge, SKILLS, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Strong research, vendor management, investigative/research, and financial analysis skills.
  • Understanding of database structure and product analysis with the ability to perform data analysis and effectively document exceptions.
  • Proficient understanding of data sources or government agencies,
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills to identify issues and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to define business and technical parameters. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements. Strong capacity to communicate the function's vision and the department's direction and set aligned goals.
  • Provides resources and creates systems to measure results. Familiar with competitor, financial and industry dynamics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Successful track record designing, developing, and executing complex projects in area of functional expertise focusing on both long-range projects and immediate tasks.
  • May actively recruit, retain, and develop talent and hold employees accountable for results. Leads change, manages conflict, and fosters collaboration.
  • Provides others with reliable information and delivers informative and persuasive presentations. Uses good listening skills and negotiates effectively.

Pay Range: $78,700-$108,400

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location
